Sorry, I needed to post this again cuz' somehow I deleted it myself, hahaha...
Since Mom wasn't eating good enough,
the doctor recommended IV for about two to three hours a day. This can
summarize Mom's condition this weekend...
20121129 Thursday - Second chemo is bugging me still but Mom is facing
it very positively. She is feeling better with some medications from the
hospital and of course with the blood transfusion. Leukemia, different
from other types of cancer that are local, is having bad and mutated blood
that goes through your whole body. No operations can be done to remove it
completely unless you give it a reboot (transplant) so it can start producing
healthy blood cells again. It can affect any organs in your body, heart, lungs,
liver, brain, kidneys, bruises, non-stop bleeding, bad skin, etc. Okay, I
think I'd better stop - see, told you, it's bugging me, haha. Back to
Mom, after a full day of check up, she was very exhausted and didn't eat much
at night, just slept. So, she is actually pretty good today after having
enough rest. She went out for lunch with Dad and did some grocery
shopping together - how sweet.
Forgot to mention her Picc line last
time, the nurses have to clean it up every week to make sure it's clean and
smooth. Also, starting probably tomorrow, Mom will have IV everyday for a
few hours. The equipment company will deliver the "brothers"
and drug store (Shoppers) will deliver the IV bag and the nurse will visit
setting up and shutting down. That's right, there'll be three parties
visiting tomorrow! This way, she will have enough nutritional and other
needs even when she's not eating well. God will take good care of her I
know.
We have a open house to attend this
evening at People's Christian Academy School. Yes, we are still deciding
if we should send Jake to a private school. It's not very on the way
unless Yeh Yeh can help, hahaha. We'll keep this on our prayers for sure.
Time flies once again, my silly baby Jake is going to JK next September.
Can't imagine him in uniform, hahaha. Thank God for sending him to
us, definitely the greatest gift (Gloria and Jonah too, hehehe). So yea,
we couldn't have dinner with Mom and Dad tonight.
20121130 Friday - Mom is not bad today but the IV set up wasn't
the greatest. The IV machine's battery died after a while, and the nurse
had to come back with a charger but the charger didn't work somehow so it had
to do it by gravity! Thank God for gravity, hehehe! The equipment
company will need to come again with another machine tomorrow. From now
on, a nurse will visit daily for the IV and other monitoring measurements.
I guess my worries is dying down knowing that a home nurse is visiting.
Sorry God, I suck but am working on it, hahaha.
Jonah is sick with running nose,
cough and fever. Not a good idea to see Mom with Jonah. So, we went
out for dinner with just Dad at Ichiban before meeting up at Tang's for cell
group. The live uni was goooooood. Since we didn't want to spread
germs to other kids, Jonah and Gloria were home, just Jake and me went.
Thanks Kaki for the recap on the book of James. Mom likes your
Chinese dessert! And happy birthday to Pastor Adam! The best excuse
to have more sweets, hahaha.

Saturday - The nurse came early enough
so Mom could be ready to go out for lunch but it was a bit too cold for
her to leave the house and to see sick Jonah. Mom is good and stayed
home. We delivered her 炸兩 (Ja Jeung),
sorry I have no idea what does it call in English, hahaha. She likes it!
Mom is feeling and eating better, not sure if it's cuz' of the IV.
She asked about the laptop and actually I bought it for them already but
just didn't get a chance to set it up. Still not sure what's it like for
Windows 8. We'll see. Once again, not cuz' Mom is not feeling well
but it's Jonah who's sick. So, only Dad came out for dinner with us. Jonah
didn't eat well as expected but it still bugs me as parents. It's also my
company's Christmas party tonight that I had to skip cuz' of that. The
word "party" is getting strange to me as I grow "older",
hahaha.

Sunday - To my surprise, I saw Mom in
the Welcome Center at church this morning!!! I totally wasn't expecting
to see her at church this soon but she made it!!! I'm glad that she came
in a little late or else she probably will be busy say hi to everyone cuz' I
know everyone misses her so much! Yes, she was feeling not bad and she
just misses MCBC too and, of course, all uncles and aunties. Thank God
for walking with us the whole time. From her body check last year, all
the treatments in HK and PMH last month to now going back to church, I can't
thank Him enough. Maybe this is His Christmas present to us this year.
Of course, His biggest present was Baby Jesus, hehehe. Grade 1 to 4
kids were so behaved as I was speaking to them. Thank God for giving me
the passion on little kids and this is probably the closest thing I am sharing
with Jesus, hehehe. I'll keep serving while having lots of fun at the
same time!!! Let me know if you also have the same passion, no matter if
it's big or small, I'm sure God will make use of any of us. Pray for
MCBC, especially YLD - Children ministry as we are always short of helpers.
Like in 9:30am nursery, Gloria asked me to update the helper roster and I
saw only two names in total with many weeks blank having no helps (one of
them is Gloria already). Pray for his providence.
Both Jonah and
Mom were well enough to enjoy dinner together at night. I'm really happy
to see both of them eating well together (even though Jonah threw up at night,
hahaha). Thank God for giving us the opportunity to enjoy some quality
family time. We all had a great time and were all excited about Tai Por
Por's arrival tomorrow from HK. I'm sure Mom's meals will all be well
taken care of once she's back, hehehe.
Thanks for His
reminder, hehehe...
"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because
the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That
person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person
is double-minded and unstable in all they do." (James 1:6-8)
