20121206 Thursday - Mom is feeling good today. Took her time in the morning until around lunch time before she went pick up Grandma with Dad. Thank God for giving us such healthy, talkative, love eating, love cooking, stubborn yet funny Grandma. Now she can take care of Mom just like when Mom is a little girl. Well, I know Mom is probably gonna say something like, "it's the opposite, I was the one who took care of the family when your grandma was busy working back in the days!", hahaha.
Tonight, Mom, Dad and Grandma all get to spend some time with the boys when they were over for dinner. It wasn't fancy but we had lots of fun. Jonah being silly as he was so excited to see so many familiar faces around him in the house. He was having so much fun himself too. Mom looks very good tonight. The report obviously didn't bother us too much. We'll leave it up to God and see what He wants us to take next I guess. Grandma will start staying with them tonight.
20121207 Friday - Mom called, in a very exciting tone of voice, in the afternoon asking me to go over for turnip cake (Law Bak Go), hahaha. Apparently Grandma already finished her "duty" making the turnip cake and soup early in the morning. Mom liked it so much that she had to share with me right a way! So, couldn't resist the turnip cake temptation, I went there and had some, hahaha. It was really great! Grandma actually corrected me on the spot saying that she is not 94 years old (from my previous blog post), hahaha. She's only 91!!! Don't mess up with girl's age, she's a lady after all, hahaha. Yea, I'd better change it soon, hahaha.
We are going to have a pot luck tonight at home so we won't be spending time with them. I know they are enjoying the time with Grandma though. It's always noisy whenever any of the three of us is around, hahaha.
20121208 Saturday - After Chinese School, we had lunch together at Maxim's. Mom still looks great with good appetites. The best has yet to come, hahaha. Yea, Dad offered to stay home when the boys nap in the afternoon so Gloria and I could go SHOPPING!!! It's been a good year without any help from Yeh Yeh Mah Mah when thinking back. Seriously, we are already used to do everything ourselves. Having helps from any of the Fantastic Four is like the best treat, nice and sweet. We took the offer and had so much fun shopping with no kids!!! SHOPPING WITH NO KIDS!!! Can't believe it happened, hahaha. Thanks Dad and thank God, hehehe. We were so efficient too, without the kids, hahaha. Christmas shopping half way done in just few hours!
We got home and bathed the boys when Dad went pick up Mom and Grandma (and take out). Time was perfect and everything is just so amazing tonight. Man, I miss the boys even it's only a few hours. But I'll take advantage of this blessing with grandparents for sure, hehehe. The boys slept well and it was only 8:30 when I'm done my dishes. So, we headed to Walmart as a family to shop more, hahaha! Even though it wasn't as efficient as in the afternoon, and a few parts were kinda embarrassing with disciplining incidents, everything is a blessing! God is good always. Thank you...
20121209 Sunday - Mom was well enough to come to church again today. I'm sure she had a good time catching up with a lot of the Uncles and Aunties. We had previously arranged lunch meet up with Sindy, so we couldn't had lunch with them. Mom was again well enough to see Mrs Wong and Cheung Cheung Auntie (and family) at Dim Sum. Gloria and I continued our Christmas shopping and did most of them done from just one place, hahaha. However, there were just too many great gift ideas, plus we bumped into a lot of ppl we haven't seen quite some time, it took a little longer than as planned, hahaha. We had craving for Hotpot but Mom bought lobsters and got us distracted. We will have to wait a little longer. Lobster was great. They also brought a cake and it was also great, hahaha. You can tell that she's feeling good when she couldn't stand the way how Dad cut the cake, and took the cake knife from Dad's hand and started cutting the cake herself...
When God is giving us a skating ring outside (freezing rain this evening), we are enjoying our time together with a lot of unwrapped Christmas gifts all over the places, hahaha. Mom and Dad got to see the boys go crazy in the basement tonight. I think they may try to come less from now on, hahaha (just joking, they won't). Everything is good for now. Please keep praying for Mom's next step/procedures. The next appointment will be on Wednesday. See if God allows her to spend time with us on Christmas/New Years.
