(Look up Dad, the date is already shown right above, hahaha)

Thought I can do this everyday but I guess I won't stress myself out, will do my best to keep this updated, whenever...feel free to share this to ppl who love and care about my Mom. Or Irene's Update (http://havenlaw.blogspot.ca/)

The first week at PMH is almost gone, so far I am able to visit her everyday.  Love the free parking with no traffic, I think I'm starting to like downtown again...nurses and doctors are so very nice too, God has put mom in different sets of good hands (lots of appreciations to all Doctors and team back in HK) - Dr. Ma and Dr. Leung are for sure the doctors with the fastest response!!!  Thank you...

20121017 Wednesday - Gloria has made her soup...Auntie Irene also made her soup with some home made Cha Siu (thank you)...I'm sure we all gonna be "moisturized" with these soups cuz' whenever Mom can't finish, we'll, hahaha...Dad actually gained some weight (by looking at his tummy)...for sure, God is really trying to "moisturize" me by showing me that everything is a blessing even when things may not look as good as it is from our eyes...thanks B for showing me your faith

Mom had ultrasound done on her abdominal organs and it looks like only her lung and heart will need closer monitoring, thank God.  Bye bye sausage lips too!  Since she needs lots of injections like IV, antibiotics and transfusions, she has developed pleural effusion (water in the lungs, 胸積水)...so she's on lasix (a medication that makes her pee a lot!)...she's also encouraged to walk more and exercise her lung with a new toy blue in color (Jake's favorite) that can help strengthening her lungs and push excessive fluids out...with Dad around, I'm sure she can exercise her lungs, hahaha...

My cousin Carly (thanks Dr. Ng, hehe) visited and talked to the doctor in charge, Dr. Marwan Shaheen...they will page each other for all updates and information...what a nice doctor...please pray for him!  Thanks Carly for all the explanations, nice and clear (a lot of information here is actually from Carly).  Uncle Ed and Auntie Tiana were still there when I deliver the soups, thanks for visiting!

Mom had to finish all the soup/water/etc. before midnight cuz' she had an 1030 appointment the next day...tried Skype, hope it'll work so she can see the boys anytime...she also said no pictures is allowed unless she has her hat on, hahaha...Mom, you will always be the prettiest in my eyes

Oops, sorry Mom...see, Daddy is drinking soup

20121018 Thursday - Mom did two small procedures that needed anesthesia (麻醉), so she was tired and sleepy when Gloria and I visited her last night...poor her didn't get to eat until 1530...she still looks good and was able to finish more soup (and dessert/fruit) from Auntie Constance (thank you)...without an umbrella, the heavy rain stopped Dad from getting a shower at TC last night (same as Jonah, hahaha)...we left him one

The two procedures: Hickman Line (CVC) basically, it's a tube attached to her chest area for all IN/OUT to her circulation system...and bronchoscopy, which is a small camera to check her lungs to see what kinda of infection she has.  If it's fungal related, she'll need months of anti-fungal medications.  We'll see...and leave it to God.  One good news is that she is MRSA negative, which means we don't need to wear gowns/masks/gloves seeing her...it's actually a disease from her spreading to us (I thought the isolation was to protect her but in fact, it's the other way around), thank God again.

Today, she'll need to have an ultrasound to her heart, and make sure that she's ready for chemo therapy...according to Carly, this one will be more aggressive...pray that Mom won't need to suffer much but regardless, she'll have all our supports!!!  If everything goes well, it'll start soon (3+7)...her platelets and hemoglobin are still low though...

Need to give special thanks to Gloria and Cheryl for the support, to the Caring Team for all the soups especially thanks to Auntie Constance, and thanks for all the emails, texts, blogger comments, Facebook and Whatsapp, messages (you know who you are) and thanks for all the prayers and love always - we still need lots, so please don't stop, hehehe

She has craving for double skin milk last night, hahaha...see if I can get her some later, hehehe...

A Noble Woman...
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. (Proverbs 31:28-31)
