It's already end of May and it's been a month without touching this blog. Are you still reading? If you are, you probably know why I was not writing it. Yes, we had a three weeks vacation to Hong Kong and Vancouver. I thought I would have spare time to write but HK is always a busy place, even when we are just visiting. I can't imagine how it'll be like if we are there for good. One of the main purpose of this trip is to bring Daddy back. It's his first trip to HK without Mom but he's doing pretty well so far. He didn't come back with us and will spend some more time there with Fian until end of next month. Yup, he's still there - feel free to contact him!!! I'm sure he will be busy having so many soccer games to watch and so many friends and family to meet and of course, plus all the paper works he has to do for Mom.
Need to say three things to Mom:
- First, happy Mother's Day! Good thing that I was busy that day in HK and driving around getting lost looking for Gilbert and Charity's chapel, hahaha and all the packing getting ready for Vancouver, or else it wouldn't be as easy. I cried a little just before going to bed thinking about you cuz' it's only a year apart and the difference is this big...
- Second, happy birthday! We were still busy dealing with jet lag while having fun in Vancouver/Seattle, so it wasn't that hard either. If you were still around, you would turn 64, still a very young and pretty grandma busy running around for your next trip to somewhere, probably planning to bring 10+ seniors with you at the same time as usual, hehehe. Rest up and be prepared, we'll see each other again...
- Last, thanks for your Aeroplan miles. This is another main reason for us to go back. No idea how you managed to collect all these miles good for three of us round trip to HK that's expiring. It's wise not to waste it and make good use of it. So, thank you Mom!!! I don't know how we can afford going back to HK again next time as just the flight will cost us $5000. We can have two Florida trip with that amount, hahaha. Well, maybe one and a half, haha.

One other big reason to go back is to see our newly born nieces, Kleo and Tze Kiu. Sometimes, I'm jealous to parents with girls including Kevin and Jamie/Kit and Candy, hahaha but I'm well content with Jake and Jonah, just can't hide how much I love baby girls, hahaha. May God bless them always!

This is just a little introduction to my trip chapters (to follow). I'll share more about our trip next few posts. How cute Cheung Cheung Auntie was when I called her trying to collect Dad's mails from her. She didn't ask me when I can go pick up the mails, she only asked if this blog is still alive, hahaha. Thanks for helping Auntie, you are the best!!! Yes, this blog is very alive, haha. I don't think anyone can stop me from talking anyways, hahaha.
Mom, I miss you and I love you. I haven't tried missing someone this much ever before. Your shadow and voice are still around the corner of my eyes and my ears once in a while. Sometimes, I can even smell you. There are lots and lots of moments that click me right to you. I didn't show it to everyone right away but I'm sure you know. God knows. Oh, just an little update. Gloria and I have decided to send Jake to a Christian private school and I'm sure you would support us and you would probably offer us financial support too, haha. I miss your inputs about everything, even though most of time, I found them annoying haha. We'll try to manage our finance better in such a way that we can be prepared for sending also Jonah in the future. No worries, we can handle as usual, just keep having fun up there.
Regarding our trip to HK, my highlight was actually Macau, hahaha. I don't know why HK just can't give me that vacation feelings. It's always rush, always busy, always stressful, always not having enough time to finish everything, hahaha. Well, that's my home town I guess, hahaha. Of course it was fun too in HK like our 730 breakfast buffet at W hotel, thanks Kevin! Oh, the noisy banana and the California ride were very memorable for sure. Uni-Qlo made me smile any given time, haha. I guess being able to see our friends and relatives are priceless regardless of how hard it is commuting in HK with two boys who needs afternoon naps. Yes, I know. I know we are already spoiled getting to drive around. Thank God for giving me the courage to drive around in HK - actually I found it fun driving there, haha. Looking for parking and way to get to where we need to go are always challenging, but it's fun, hehe. I'll tell you more next few times, hahaha.
Last but not the least, another big reason to go back was to attend Charity (Bau Bau) and Gilbert (Gilby)'s wedding!!!
- I met Gilby when he was still chubby, well, he's still chubby now I know but I mean when he was baby fat that kinda chubby. Yes, he was like 13/14, hahaha. We went to this retreat and this little spoiled kid brought TWO laptops there just to play his video games!!! The first impression wasn't the greatest I have to say but we ended up going through a lot together even though I'm way older than him, including getting pull over by cops while the other was driving and counting on each other while going through some tough times relationship wise. He may look very "couldn't care less" on the outside but he has a "small heart", a very sweet heart indeed and he will make himself available always just to help if any of his friends are in need. I guess this is also his weakness, not knowing how to say NO, hahaha. He's known to stay out-dated, haha like not knowing things happened around him. For example, when this couple has broken up and he would find it out months after saying some wrong things and the wrong time, haha. The bank book story will never get away from my head, hahaha. Ask him if you want to laugh, hahaha.
- Bau Bau was my Karaoke buddy, my little girl and my tenant (yes, she even rented our condo, haha). Our passion towards singing are always at the maximum. The only difference is that I'm just a better singer, hohoho. She would burn me CDs with the latest songs just to keep me updated so that I am able to sing with her, hahaha. I met her just before Gilby got her heart. How she rejected him and how they got together was very engraved in my heart somehow. I'm like one of their very witness of their love story and I'm very honored to be able to make it back to their wedding. The wedding was very sweet, very true, fun and sincere. I didn't cry but I was in a little tears seeing Gilby cry, hehehe. I'll keep praying for you two and may God bless your family continuously and that your offsprings will be as many as Abraham, hehehe. That's right, get on it NOW!!!
It's so nice to be home. I miss home, my house but I don't miss work, haha. Thank God for this wonderful trip. Thanks for giving me that green pasture feeling when I opened my garage door!!! You are great.
"The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake." (Psalm 23:1-3)
